Sofie Piepers Biography
In 2005, Sofie Piepers graduated as a veterinarian at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Ghent University, Belgium and since that time she has been a member of M-teamUGent (www.m-team.UGent.be). She is passionate about mastitis and milk quality.
As a veterinarian and researcher, she loves networking, collecting new information at scientific conferences, and later turning that knowledge into practice. Sofie is since 2015 managing director of MEX™, a spin-off company of Ghent University. Driven by passion, inspired by science and strengthened by more than 20 years of experience, the team at MEX™ works to create holistic, integrated solutions for easy mastitis management through evidence-based consultancy, collaboration with more than 25 industry experts, first class training, coaching and mentoring, and mastitis data management. As visiting professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Ghent University, she is still involved in the research projects within the Mastitis and Milk Quality Research Unit.
